Note: Revealing details for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 lie ahead.
The Soldiers Table Introduced
The third episode finished on a huge suspense moment and introduced the premier party of heroes who will separate from the central cast to begin their separate journey, distinct from the remaining groups.
This warrior group consists of the determined fighter (brought to life by the voice actor), the agile character (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), Wicander (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).
The Reason for Division
Considering an extensive roster, it was evident from the start that having everyone at one table would be impossible.
This explains, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, connecting the characters’ stories before dividing into three separate parties: Soldiers, Strategists, and Questers.
Characteristics of the Warrior Group
Per the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for players who are drawn to a classically intense combat and conflict-driven story mode where non-violent answers are rare.
Upon first impression, figures such as the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might appear mismatched, but the events of the latest installment demonstrate why these five characters are ideally matched for the warrior group.
Why They Must Go
For one thing, the group understands precisely where to go next after a violent initial meeting with the antagonists.
Casimir of Thjazi—whose demise started the campaign’s events—used the foes for his own means, invading the hidden lair, attacking Thimble, and stealing all the powerful objects to sell off.
The antagonist then settled his liabilities and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Cyd close behind.
Individual Reasons
Moreover, each member has a specific drive to depart the urban setting:
- The rogue, as the companion and closest confidant, seeks revenge.
- The adventurer is familiar with Timmony and cautions that it is a hostile place.
- Tyranny and The cleric, having resisted his family’s wishes to kill Teor and instead saved him, have no other options.
- But, their reputation as prominent individuals in House Halovar could assist the team enter places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Moreover, The grateful character pledged a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his salvation and will now follow him anywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
Finally, all of them are sought by the authorities that govern Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making lingering locally no longer safe:
- The rogue and The character are notorious outlaws.
- Tyranny and The healer betrayed the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
- The fighter is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.
This results in them no alternative but to head to Timmony in pursuit of the antagonist.
What’s Next?
Based on the recent installment’s follow-up content, we find out that the warrior group will be absent the following episode, leaving the rest of the players to round up the Seekers and Schemers parties.
Viewers can look forward to discovering which characters will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, released on next week.
