Wilfried Nancy stated he had no concerns about the sack, claiming, “We are very near to changing our fortunes,” even after sliding worryingly close to the chopping block with a heavy loss to Rangers.

“The performance we had at certain moments was really, really, really high. That is a fact. I could not say that if it was not the case. But that’s why, in terms of results, I mentioned we've seen this before. For that reason I said that we are nearly there to a shift in fortunes. But for the moment: small things.”

“I saw many, many good things that we did, like today again. However it’s about sustaining it. My narrative would not be if I didn't believe it. That’s why I am convinced the team can to turn things around.”

Röhl’s Cautious Response

The victorious boss was cautious about a serious challenge despite what felt like a landmark win. “We take it game by game, so we can really build up a challenge,” he said. “The faith in the squad is excellent.”
